Manuka House Built like a tiny, timeworn dwelling, this candle house has the character of something discovered rather than newly made. Its uneven brickwork, softly weathered white finish and touches of earthy colour give the little structure a wonderfully aged appearance, while the arched opening allows the flickering light to glow from within. Cast in plaster and individually painted, the house retains the small variations, rough edges and tactile markings that make handmade work so appealing. At just 12 cm high, it is an intimate piece suited to a shelf, bedside table or quiet corner where its surface detail can be appreciated up close. Part of Donna O’Donoghue’s Little Works collection, the house comes with a small electric flicker candle.
